(Where has NATO protected civilians in Sirte & elsewhere???)
... Flounders believes that “NATO’s war” poses a great danger to the entire region.
“This is really an opening war into the region, and the idea that it has any humanitarian concern has never been on NATO’s agenda,” she said.” From the beginning it has not only been a war for control and domination of Libya and seizing hold of the oil and also the enormous cash reserves… It has been a weapon against the Egyptian and Tunisian [revolutions] and what is called the Arab Spring.”
According to Naji Barakat, the health minister in the new Libyan government, at least 30,000 people were killed and 50,000 wounded in Libya’s six-month civil war...
Rothschild is a conspiracy against 6 billion people on this planet. The dynasty and allied merchant banking families cause endless misery in every nation around the world. They create evil because they always and only profit from evil. They fashioned the system whereby all of our money for buying and hiring and paying debt is bank loans in which Rothschild collects the interest on money it costs him nothing to supply. Therefore Rothschild has ended up owning the nation and all of us still deep in debt with no chance of climbing out by the current financial system rules...

... The Australian also reported a Sirte resident as saying, "NATO bombing is killing civilians. Where is the United Nations? Where is the Muslim world to stop this genocide of the people of Sirte?"After the Libyan rebels, under UN sanctioned NATO air cover, have verifiably exterminated or exiled entire cities, as was the case for Tawarga, reported on by the Telegraph in their article, "," this is a very important question.
The answer unfortunately is that the United Nations not only knows what is going on, but doesn't care and is doing everything in its power to ensure it continues on in earnest. The entire purpose of these "international institutions" is to lend legitimacy to what would otherwise be a unilateral military campaign of conquest. And despite dressing it up with UN resolutions and a torrent of disingenuous corporate media propaganda, it is still just that - a genocidal, brutal, campaign of military conquest, not to protect "civilians," quite obviously, but to extend Anglo-American hegemony across the planet in the form of their "international order."...
... In spite of the immense amount of resources being thrown at Libya to crush its resistance to this brazen military campaign of corporate conquest-by-proxy, the Libyan people have thus far put up a robust defense. The people of both Bani Walid and Sirte have resisted for over a month after rebels, with NATO's assistance, purposefully cut the cities off from humanitarian aid, food, water, and electricity - and proceeded to bombard them indiscriminately with heavy artillery accompanied by NATO airstrikes. Now, as rebels slink off in defeat from Bani Walid, and struggle to take even Sirte, lying directly between their supposed "strongholds" of Benghazi and Misrata, their tactical strength to hold the large swaths NATO has cleared out for them is being called into question...

Five Banks Account For 96% Of The $250 Trillion In Outstanding US Derivative Exposure; Is Morgan Stanley Sitting On An FX Derivative Time Bomb? | ZeroHedge
The latest quarterly report from the Office Of the Currency Comptroller is out and as usual it presents in a crisp, clear and very much glaring format the fact that the top 4 banks in the US now account for a massively disproportionate amount of the derivative risk in the financial system. Specifically, of the $250 trillion in gross notional amount of derivative contracts outstanding (consisting of Interest Rate, FX, Equity Contracts, Commodity and CDS) among the Top 25 commercial banks (a number that swells to $333 trillion when looking at the Top 25 Bank Holding Companies), a mere 5 banks (and really 4) account for 95.9% of all derivative exposure (HSBC replaced Wells as the Top 5th bank, which at $3.9 trillion in derivative exposure is a distant place from #4 Goldman with $47.7 trillion).
The top 4 banks: JPM with $78.1 trillion in exposure, Citi with $56 trillion, Bank of America with $53 trillion and Goldman with $48 trillion, account for 94.4% of total exposure. As historically has been the case, the bulk of consolidated exposure is in Interest Rate swaps ($204.6 trillion), followed by FX ($26.5TR), CDS ($15.2 trillion), and Equity and Commodity with $1.6 and $1.4 trillion, respectively. And that's your definition of Too Big To Fail right there: the biggest banks are not only getting bigger, but their risk exposure is now at a new all time high and up $5.3 trillion from Q1 as they have to risk ever more in the derivatives market to generate that incremental penny of return...
Economic policy in the United States and Europe has failed, and people are suffering.
Economic policy failed for three reasons:
(1) policymakers focused on enabling offshoring corporations to move middle class jobs, and the consumer demand, tax base, GDP, and careers associated with the jobs, to foreign countries, such as China and India, where labor is inexpensive;
(2) policymakers permitted financial deregulation that unleashed fraud and debt leverage on a scale previously unimaginable;
(3) policymakers responded to the resulting financial crisis by imposing austerity on the population and running the printing press in order to bail out banks and prevent any losses to the banks regardless of the cost to national economies and innocent parties...

» Turkey Lectures Syria on Killing Militants – Then Kills Militants Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind!
... Ironically, as Erdogan berates Syria for its “brutal crackdown,” Al Jazeera has recently laid to rest the fable that Syria’s protesters are “peaceful pro-democracy demonstrators” and has finally admitted they are indeed armed and have murdered over 700 members of Syria’s security forces, in a feature titled, “Syria: The revolution will be weaponised.” Despite admitting hundreds of Syria’s security forces have died in the months of fighting, Qatari government propagandists at Al Jazeera claim that only now are protesters thinking about arming themselves and that the heavy losses were the result of isolated, armed opposition groups. In reality, this is a replay of the Libyan operation, where US-backed and armed militants took up weapons on day one against Qaddafi’s government and were only admitted to be armed and lent additional weapons and protected by a no-fly zone when it became clear they could not take the country by themselves.
Likewise in Syria, the “revolution” is coming to an end as Syrian security forces appear to have broken the back of the armed uprising. The US, EU, and client states like Turkey are now attempting to increase pressure, and perhaps even initiate a “no-fly zone” under which NATO can mercilessly bomb Syria’s infrastructure and provide air support for a very much armed opposition...

Automated Killing: The Total Immorality of the U.S. Government and Its Military - informationliberation
We are now living in a world consumed by killing, murder, and torture, and the very government that claims to be the most righteous on earth is responsible for most of these heinous crimes. That government of course is the United States government, now the largest empire on earth. There are supporting players involved like the U.S. military, the NATO countries, and those banks and corporations who profit from the slaughter of peoples overseas, but without the full sanction of these unholy wars by the government and the populace, these other players would be left to fend for themselves.
The continued annihilation of human beings at the hands of government is entering a new automated phase. This new phase should fully satisfy those all-powerful political and corporate parasites and their cold-blooded thirst for more carnage. While they may think that their hands will be cleaner, the opposite effect will be evident. The stench of death can never be washed away, even if human designed machines do the killing...

Many will see it as more evidence that the Prime Minister is morphing into Tony Blair, who spoke in Chicago in 1999 about his belief in a "just war" in which the international community acted to stop genocide, ethnic cleansing or humanitarian catastrophe. The speech was the prelude to Nato's intervention to free the Kosovo Albanians from Serbian rule, in which Blair played the lead role...

”There needs to be a global concerted effort to balance everyone’s books and to recalibrate the global currency markets at one time as it did after World War II with Bretton Woods,” he said. “There needs to be a new Bretton Woods-style global conference to write-off all the bad debt that will never be paid, to recalibrate currencies and to restart the global economy.”
“There is no political will for that, however, because the bankers would lose and the bankers control the agenda of the politicians,” Keiser concluded...
... The only way to fix this crisis is complete separation of the retail and investment banks, and let the speculators – you know, those people you holiday with every year – let them go to hell. Once you’ve done that, give the “Independent” Banking Commission a new job – to assess the legitimacy of the debt. But no City of London shills on there this time, please. When they come to their inevitable conclusion that almost all the debt in circulation is illegitimate, write it off. Get rid of the lie that GDP has anything whatever to do with economy. Start measuring the economy in terms of physical productivity. Rebuild the nation.

The corporate media has practically ignored the fact that Khalifa Haftar, who was appointed chief rebel commander March 17, is a long-time CIA collaborator.
As Tarpley has stated, “an overstretched and moribund US-UK imperialism is using al Qaeda as its own irregular infantry in the effort to harass and cripple the nation-states of the world, causing them to disintegrate into a tribal, sectarian, criminal, and warlord chaos. In the current phase, al Qaeda has resumed its original status as CIA guerrillas.”
... For those that are still skeptical of my claims, please realize that I do not make my claims without a great deal of thought and research. My firm belief is that Umar was escorted around security and given an intentionally defective bomb by a U.S. intelligence agent. The bomb was never intended to detonate, but merely intended to create a "simulated terrorist attack" or a "false flag attack" if you will. In December of 2009, the U.S. Government hadn't seen a terrorist attack in 8 years, It was getting more and more difficult to spend hundreds of billions a year on terrorism and to continue to fight two fraudulent wars based on terrorism. Those making their livings off of the war on terror didn't want to lose their cash cow. Enter Umar the Underwear Bomber. A second benefit of a failed bomb being found in Umar's underwear, was to enable body scanning machines to be placed in every airport. How convenient for Michael Chertoff , a former head of the DHS, to have ties to the body scanning companies. I doubt that this was any coincidence. Once again, billions of dollars would flow from the U.S. Government for body scanning machines that were needed to protect us...

Ahh yes. Fear is being laid on thick as another "crisis" is being used in an attempt to consolidate political power. This time-honored tactic looks like it is now getting the final push in Europe as financial leaders and presidents alike call for a United States of Europe to avert collapse.
The message is clear coming from the establishment: form a more centrally-controlled political and economic union or you will suffer.
Unfortunately, that's not a prediction, but a promise.
It's become obvious that this has been the plan all along. "If you have a currency union, you certainly also need more elements of a political and of an economic union. That was clear from the outset when we started this project some 10, 15 years ago," said the Luxembourg finance minister Frieden...
NATO’s al-Qaeda “rebels” in Libya are dumping bodies at a cemetery in Misrata and elsewhere around the north Africa nation, according to McClatchy Newspapers:
The majority of the more than 800 bodies and sets of remains in the “pro-Gaddafi” cemetery are without names or identification other than digital photos of their faces taken by the volunteers who run the cemetery. Many of the bodies have simply been left at the cemetery by the rebels to be buried, with no information about where they were killed or found.
McClatchy does not say if the dead are fighters or dissidents opposed to NATO bombing their country and al-Qaeda renegades running amok beating, pillaging and raping...

(Reuters) - Fugitive ousted Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's loyalists said on Monday they had captured 17 mercenaries -- some British and French -- in what would amount to a sharp setback for the country's new rulers and their international backers...
"... A group was captured in Bani Walid consisting of 17 mercenaries. They are technical experts and they include consultative officers," Gaddafi spokesman Ibrahim said on Syria-based Arrai television, which has backed the ousted leader.
"Most of them are French, one of them is from an Asian country that has not been identified, two English people and one Qatari..."
'The Libyan rebel movement’s primary embarrassment at the moment is that their claims of "50,000″ civilians slain by Moammar Gadhafi looks by early bodycounts to be about 49,000 too many. Bodies are turning up, however, and not the ones the rebels were hoping for.
Instead, reports have the rebel forces dumping hundreds of bodies in a "pro-Gadhafi" cemetery with no identification, slain by the rebels for some unexplained reason. Just one cemetery reported some 800 unidentified corpses...'

The peacekeepers are coming! The peacekeepers are coming! War, mass killing and destruction continue, but they're coming!
In fact, paramilitaries are coming to kill and terrorize Libyans wanting liberation, not occupation.
A blind eye won't notice mass rapes and sex trafficking, as well as other atrocities and crimes. They're commonplace, in fact, when Blue Helmets show up, operating as they please with impunity. More on that below.
Moreover, when they come they don't leave as long as imperial powers want them there. Citizens of occupied countries have no say nor any rights. Their choice is obey or else.
Libya's corpse belongs to NATO. It's now Libya, Inc. to be carved up for profit with paramilitaries deployed for enforcement...
... In Libya, where NATO-backed NTC forces are attempting to wipe out the last remaining pro-Gaddafi strongholds, civilians are still being killed but normally-vocal countries backing a UN resolution to protect them have gone strangely quiet.
British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Nicolas Sarkozy paid a visit this week to survey their handiwork. The first heads of state to visit Tripoli since the city fell to rebel forces say their countries’ work in spearheading the NATO intervention is not yet done.
David Cameron told a joint news conference in Tripoli.
He is right: civilians are still being killed. But now that Gaddafi is virtually powerless, the people increasingly doing the killing are National Transitional Council forces, together with NATO, as they attack Bani Walid and other Gaddafi strongholds...

'In the first part of this series, the malignant Zionist propaganda surrounding the fall of Tripoli was picked apart, piece by piece, exposing the destructive, genocidal, brute force of NATO and its crimes against humanity on Libyan soil. This part, the series finale, will deal with the latest horror inflicted upon the occupied Gaza Strip, holy Al-Quds and occupied Al-Khalil as a result of Zionist intelligence shenanigans in the Egyptian Sinai. It will conclude on the world scale, where an Orwellian “utopia” is hoped to be erected on the ruins of Zionism’s greatest enemies…'
As we head into the fall of 2011, the economic and political collapse of every nation in the West is happening exactly according to plan. The fate of the West is being determined in the shadows of history by the banks from hell that run America and the European Union.
Once the truth about the global economic crisis is fully grasped by the masses of the nations there will be not just riots in the streets and burned down stores but political catastrophes, revolutions, public hangings of political leaders, and unbearable suffering.
The truth is that countries in Europe and elsewhere are not being bailed out, they are being enslaved through debt by an international class of banking thieves and government protected bandits who control the IMF, the World Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other privately run banks.
They created the global economic crisis on purpose to create global chaos and a global political opening to drive through their global steamroller called world government...

... Such are the Cameron government's priorities following the great "humanitarian" victory in Libya. As Margaret Thatcher once declared: "Rejoice!" And as the bankers and arms merchants raise their glasses, let us not forget the heroic RAF pilots who made Libya ours again by incinerating countless "pro-Gaddafi elements" in their homes and cots and clinics, and the unsung stalwarts of the British drone industry at Menwith Hill in Yorkshire who, before and after lunch, provide the information for targets so that Hellfire missiles can flatten homes and suck the air out of lungs. And cheers to QinetiQ's drone testing site at Aberporth and at UAV Engines Limited in Lichfield.
Heist of little interest
The west's humanitarian mission is not quite finished. Six months after securing a UN resolution authorising "the [protection] of civilians and civilian-populated areas under the threat of attack", Nato is raining fragmentation bombs on civilian-populated Sirte and other "Gaddafi strongholds" where, says a Channel 4 News reporter, "until they cut off the head of the snake, Libyans will not feel safe". I quote that not so much for its Orwellian quality, but as a model of journalism's role in justifying "our" bloodbaths in advance.
This is Rupert's Revolution, after all. Gone from the Murdoch press are pejorative "insurgents". The action in Libya, says the Times, is "a revolution . . . as revolutions used to be". That it is a coup by a gang of Muammar al-Gaddafi's ex-cronies and spooks in collusion with Nato is hardly news. Their self-appointed leader, Mustafa Abdel Jalil, was Gaddafi's feared justice minister. The CIA runs or bankrolls most of the rest, including America's old friends - the mujahedin Islamists who spawned al-Qaeda. They told journalists what they needed to know: that Gaddafi was about to commit "genocide", of which there was no evidence, unlike the abundant evidence of "rebel" massacres of black African workers falsely accused of being mercenaries. European bankers' secret transfer of the Central Bank of Libya from Tripoli to Benghazi in order to control the country's oil billions was an epic heist of little interest...

...The US first led NATO into illegal action when it bombed Kosovo in the interests of “protecting” people, without the UN’s legally required authorization for any acts of warfare that are not taken in self-defense against an armed attack as required by the UN Charter. The US and its NATO allies refused to go to the UN for permission to enter into hostilities, as required under the UN Charter, because Russia was threatening to veto any such action in the Security Council to protect its ally, Serbia.
Despite the lip service NATO gave to some sort of trumped up “responsibility to protect” Kosovo’s Albanians, (by bombing the Serbians to smithereens) Clinton was on the record saying: “If we’re going to have a strong economic relationship that includes our ability to sell around the world, Europe has got to be a key …. That’s what this Kosovo thing is all about.”1
It’s beyond belief that NATO’s assault on Libya is only about “protecting civilians” while at the same time hundreds of civilians are being killed by NATO bombs and drones. Here too NATO’s old boy colonial network is seeking to secure Libya’s oil. NATO is now engaged in three wars in Libya, Afghanistan, and Iraq. The US is also bombing blindly away in Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia as well, with “pilots” sitting at their computers and playing with their joysticks, lawlessly targeting “terrorists” with their unmanned drones, raining death and destruction down on the unseen people below, assassinating those whom they suspect may be wishing to do harm, without evidence, trial, finding of guilt, along with a host of innocent men, women and children...

What triggered the crisis in Syria?
It was not the result of internal political cleavages, but rather the consequence of a deliberate plan by the US-NATO alliance to trigger social chaos, to discredit the Syrian government of Bashar Al Assad and ultimately destabilize Syria as a Nation State.
Since the middle of March 2011, Islamist armed groups covertly supported by Western and Israeli intelligence have conducted terrorist attacks on government buildings and acts of arson.
Amply documented, trained gunmen and snipers have targeted the police, the armed forces as well as unarmed civilians.
The objective of this armed insurrection is to trigger the response of the police and armed forces, including the deployment of tanks and armored vehicles with a view to eventually justifying a “humanitarian” military intervention, under NATO’s “responsibility to protect” mandate...

... The Holy Triumvirate — the United States, NATO and the European Union — recognizes no higher power and believes, literally, that it can do whatever it wants in the world, to whomever it wants, for as long as it wants, and call it whatever it wants, like “humanitarian”
If The Holy Triumvirate decides that it doesn’t want to overthrow the government in Syria or in Egypt or Tunisia or Bahrain or Saudi Arabia or Yemen or Jordan, no matter how cruel, oppressive, or religiously intolerant those governments are with their people, no matter how much they impoverish and torture their people, no matter how many protesters they shoot dead in their Freedom Square, the Triumvirate will simply not overthrow them.
If the Triumvirate decides that it wants to overthrow the government of Libya, though that government is secular and has used its oil wealth for the benefit of the people of Libya and Africa perhaps more than any government in all of Africa and the Middle East, but keeps insisting over the years on challenging the Triumvirate’s imperial ambitions in Africa and raising its demands on the Triumvirate’s oil companies, then the Triumvirate will simply overthrow the government of Libya...
The war is far from over - in fact, Libya's rebels have yet to actually take Tripoli, with entire sections of the city still being contested. Furthermore, entire cities, including Sirte, Bani Waled, and Libya's entire interior still stand completely under the Libyan government's control and have repelled rebels continuously over the last two weeks even with brutal NATO bombings and the expressed desire to purposefully starve their populations into submission. Despite this, the corporate media has committed to an endless mantra of "the victorious rebels" and are focused, however unrealistically, on quickly "rebuilding Libya." Not surprisingly, this "rebuilding" will be done according to Wall Street and London's designs, not those of the Libyan people...
... The people of Greece have been told that the privatization of their public sector is the only solution. And those of Italy, Spain and Portugal are facing the same threat.
They should look to Iceland. Refusing to bow to foreign interests, that small country stated loud and clear that the people are sovereign.
That’s why it is not in the news anymore...
All this has happened and hundreds of millions of lives have been severely affected because of the claim that there was ‘no alternative’ to bailing out the banks that had caused the problem. But the people of Iceland have shown that this is nonsense. You would have heard a great deal about Iceland in 2008 when its banking system suffered a monumental and extraordinary collapse. It was, relative to the size of the Icelandic economy, the biggest banking crash in economic history.
You hear very little about Iceland today because of the way its population of 320,000 dealt with the enormous challenges they were suddenly facing. Don’t mention Iceland – Shhhhhh! There is nothing more dangerous to ‘no alternative’ than another alternative that works … the threat of a good example.
So Iceland? Schtum.
Today, just three years later, Iceland’s economy is recovering from the biggest comparative banking collapse in history because … they didn’t bail out the banks – they let them fail. Those who caused the problem took the consequences. This was the result of the Icelandic people refusing to take the hit for the mess the banks had created.
It was not the Icelandic people who chose to invest in the seriously dodgy foreign investor accounts promoted by Iceland’s private banks offering a better rate of return – it was the overseas investors. Why should those who didn’t own the banks repay the losses of private owners and investors in those banks? That was the stance of the Icelandic people and they were not budging.
